WELCOME TO THE HVWC CALENDAR: home of all our upcoming readings, events and workshops. You can view by list or calendar (see right menu to choose). Click the colored tabs below to show only specific options. Our workshops run as multi-session series or one-day “intensives.” Note, we list the multi-session courses on the first day they meet only. The full dates of the session are described in the course descriptions. You would need to scroll back to the start date if you needed to enroll for something already underway. But do let us know if you want to join something in midstream since we need the blessing of the instructor. Questions? Email us.

Magic and Mystery Creative Writing Camp
August 26-30
9:00am-4:00pm
It’s a week of magic and mystery here at the Hudson Valley Writers Center. Writers will work together to create and solve chilling mysteries, emerging ourselves into magical worlds where we make the rules, and will end the week with a collection of new writing.
This is a full-day camp. Students should plan to bring a lunch.
The Hudson Valley Writers Center strives to make our offerings financially accessible to all youth, regardless of financial barriers. Thanks to our generous grant funders, we are able to offer tiered pricing to support access to high-quality literary programming for all participants, regardless of their economic circumstances. Please pick the price point that best reflects your family’s budget. If you can purchase a higher tier, please consider doing so to save a spot for a student with greater financial need.
