About the event
In this class, Amy Holman will teach you how to match the poems you write to the best possible literary journal editors. She will teach you quick ways of assessing what is published by answering a set of questions about each poem. This will, in turn, help you assess your own poetic style. Literary journals can also be creatively inspiring, and in this class you will be encouraged to write new poems that are influenced by the poets we read, and by the editorial interests of the journal editors.
Amy Holman is a literary consultant and poet. She is the author of the poetry collections Captive (Saddle Road Press, 2023) and Wrens Fly Through This Opened Window (Somondoco Press, 2010), as well as four chapbooks, including the prizewinning Wait for Me, I’m Gone (Dream Horse Press, 2005). She has taught thousands of writers how to get published at writers conferences,…
